Portions of the Gorgon LNG Plant will be fabricated and brought to Australia for assembly and installation on Barrow Island. Three fabrication yards are involved. A total of roughly 250 000 tons will be fabricated. The largest portion of the fabrication work will be performed at Hyundai Heavy Industries HHI in Ulsan Korea. The other third will be split between two other contracts namely one with COOEC Qingdao Ltd located in Qingdao Shangdong Province China and the other with PTMI McDermott located in Batam Indonesia. Gorgon Downstream will establish a client team at each of the yards to oversee and monitor the fabricator s work. The client teams will start to form Q3 2010 to early 2011. The work in the HHI yard will be the more complex LNG plant modules and take about 3 years. The fabrication in the other two yards will be lighter less complex LNG plant PAR PAU fabrication that is prefabricated racks and prefabricated units and will take about 2 years.Brunel International would be interested to hear from any HSE Personnel All levels with fabrication LNG project experience who could be interested in working on this Project.Please contact sarthur@brunel-uk.com
