Job Overview The purpose of the role is - The primary function is to provide a specialist design technical service to our major clients. - To manage the UK Authorised Regional Operations Centre AROC in respect of all applicable EC Directive work including individual associated projects. Job Responsibilities - Responsible to the Technical Manager for the day to day management of the AROC. - Responsible for managing bespoke projects specifically related to Engineering Procurement Construction EPC organisations involved in the new construction of large industrial assets including power plant. - Represents Lloyd s Register attending meetings and participating on technical committees as required. - Ensuring design solutions are in compliance with the appropriate technical codes standards and current legislation. They are seeking an experience CAD Manager to join their team in Birmingham.The CAD Manager will be responsible for the management and development of CAD staff and resources including the allocation of staff to projects proposals and the maintenance of company-wide CAD standards with the overall objective of providing cost effective designs in line with agreed cost time budgets and programmes. The CAD Manager will also need to act as Chief Draughtsperson as required. On the technical side candidates must therefore be fully conversant with AutoCAD and some form of 3D and PID software experience is also required. Experience of Meridian or some other DMCS experience is highly desirable. X-referencing experience would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Due to the people management duties involved in the role candidates must also have demonstrable prior experience of supervising managing others preferably having carried out interviews appraisals etc as well has having led a team.
