Perth Karratha WA- Permanent Position- Excellent remuneration including housing and living expenses when at site - Sr. Civil Engineer with EPC amp field construction experience 8yr min - Experience in a senior position or as specialty lead in a premier engineering firm- Specific background in waste water treatment sanitary engineeringA leading American science and technology company integrating advanced biotechnology with process engineering has effectively generated quality bio-fuels from algae feedstock. The successfully tested production method is now being developed on a sub-commercial scale in Karratha WA with a vision of rapidly expanding to commercialization.The role is for a permanent position with the understanding that the role will grow as the company expands aggressively over the next few years.The role will initially based out of Perth working closely with the client management team locally contracted EPC firm and spend some time in Karratha as the construction progresses.The role will cover the life cycle of the project and involve all aspects of approvals feasibility studies engineering and construction from detailed design through to commissioning and startup. Our Client is looking for an energetic dynamic individual with a passion for innovative technology and a can do attitude that will be comfortable being tasked with many items and expected to go beyond the day to day work of a Civil Engineer. The company is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer with EPC and field engineering experience. The ideal candidate will have the following 8226 Self starter handle project tasks with little no supervision a key ability 8226 8-10yrs process design detail design and field experience 8226 Civil Eng. Degree advanced degree preferred 8226 Proven experience in municipal and or industrial waste water treatment a must 8226 Familiarity with construction technologies for agriculture and or aquaculture systems a must 8226 Familiarity with design of biological treatments and processes a plus 8226 5yrs EPC Experience a good understanding of the EPC process Adv to have large EPC corporate experience 8226 Experience on projects from 10 500 million 8226 Previous work experience in the Karratha Region is a plus 8226 Strong organizational and communication skillsPosition is in Perth with some time in Perth for construction oversight up to 40 percent during the construction and start-up. The role will cover 8226 Develop conceptual and detail civil design for unit operations 8226 Develop design documents specifications drawings and calculations for civil construction and or purchasing of mechanical equipment and instrumentation 8226 Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management 8226 Oversee civil works in field from a technical standpoint 8226 Participate in and assist plant commissioning and start-up operations 8226 Provide technical leadership for civil design 8226 Supervise civil works performed by EPC contractor in all phases of EPC project 8226 Respond to Contractor Technical Queries during construction 8226 Develop plant Operational Plans Being instrumental to the design development and operation of a new site you will possess excellent communication time management and co-ordination skills. Once the demonstration plant is built the client plans to rapidly develop plans for a commercial scale in the region. The role will evolve into a position on the commercial plant engineering team as a specialty leader. This will be a challenging yet rewarding role.
