They have 1 diamond rig working double shifts at their site in QLD and are on the cusp of discovering a deposit in a grassroots setting.  The 2 Exploration Geologists will have between 4 and 8 years experience and be willing to work as part of a strong performing team. You will have sound geological background with a preference in exploring Cu Au but this is not a critical requirement.  The roster is negotiable but typically 14 7 with FIFO an option for the right candidates. The purpose of this position is to help Pacific Simulation deliver future  training simulation projects. This person will be responsible for the model specific deliverables within  the scope of the project s  as well as meeting the project schedule  perform all  activities associated with the design  testing and tuning  validation and  acceptance of the dynamic simulation models under little supervision. This individual may be involved in the complete life cycle of a simulation  project  from the definition phase through to site acceptance. Key Responsibilities  Control system translation  integration and testing with UniSim Design or  Shadowplant models to create a UniSim Operations model that exceeds client  expectations  Disseminate the technical information and coordinate technical development  of simulation models. Ensure that the engineered solution meets project  requirements in terms of functionality  standards  quality  and supporting  documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work  assignments to project team  Actively contribute in the pre-engineering phase of a project. Such as  identify to the customer which information is required before project starts  Provide technical guidance and supervision to project engineers  ensure that  work assignments are executed to appropriate standards and quality systems   Implementation  Test   Documentation  Lead perform the Design and development of complex process areas such as  reactor  cracker etc  Lead perform the defining of specification of the technical components of  the simulation model s  such as scope  functionality  standard design practices   engineering tools and acceptance criteria  Verify that the simulation model s  satisfies the project acceptance  criteria and meets the customer objectives  Lead perform the development of project documents including detailed  functional specifications  detailed designs  and acceptance test procedures etc  Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that arise during project  execution  Train customer engineers and operators on use of simulators  Communicate to Project Manager and Project Control in terms of project  progress and issues  Travel for project meetings  site acceptance and site maintenance is  expected   Qualifications Experience Knowledge  Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering  Experience in delivery of ShadowPlant or UniSim Operations Suite  Exposure and hands-on experience with simulation packages such as PRO-II   HYSYS  or other dynamic simulation products  is highly preferred  Experience with Distributed Control Systems and Plant Logic  Excellent understanding of thermodynamics  fluid dynamics and control theory  Knowledge of Basic Unit Operations  Experience in working within ISO9001 quality procedures  Solid analytical problem solving skills and technical skills with a high  level of attention to detail   This is a contract position. Orion Group is currently sourcing for a Drilling Engineer for our client  a world leading oil and gas operator. Reporting to the Lead Drilling Engineer  the successful candidate will join an engineering team supporting the execution of offshore exploration wells in the Asia Pacific region.  Key accountabilities include         Responsible for engineering  planning and permitting aspects of all drilling related operations         Preparing accurate cost estimates  budgets and AFE s         Ensuring the wells are drilled in a safe  innovative  cost effective and environmentally responsible manner         Ensuring the well operations are documented in a timely and accurate fashion and lessons learned are incorporated rapidly into subsequent operations         Interfacing with the HSE Department and provide necessary input for the preparation of regulatory   permitting documents.  Preparing Applications to Drill and other government permits  as required         Able to take a lead role in performing Risk Assessments  Third-Party Contractor Audits  After-Action  reviews and Lessons Learned Sessions.   Key requirements include         Engineering degree  required          A minimum of 10 years experience in drilling operations   engineering         Experience with floating drilling operations         Excellent teamwork skills are required and excellent communication   presentation skills are beneficial         Must be able to pass and maintain offshore medical and safety training requirements. Overall integrity and coherence of the Programme  as well as development and maintenance of the Programme environment to support each individual project within it   Managing the Programme s budget  expenditures and costs   Assist in the development of commercially sound business cases for IT Projects   Manage the Programme and Programme procurement in a cost effective manner ensuring that strategic and operational objectives are considered   Ensure the Programme is aligned with the IT Strategy and IM T Multi-Year Plan.   Managing risks to the Programme s successful outcome   Analyse the potential risks to the organisation as well as identify risks that may impact the ability to achieve a successful Programme completion   Professionally represent the organization in workshop  meeting and other Company forums   Establish and maintain effective professional business networks   Ensure Programme delivers outcomes on time  within budget  and to a high level of quality.
