Senior Electrical Engineer for Gas Projects Belgium. The Senior Electrical Engineer must be able to manage the design procurement contract follow-up construction and commissioning of various electrical systems for Gas Projects i.e. LNG terminals Gas Storage and Gas Compression installations. To take in charge or assess the design renovation optimization feasibility and FEED studies of electrical systems in compliance with local and international standards and regulations.To review electrical designs during design and construction phases. To Set out ratings for equipment write or comment functional descriptions technical specifications data sheets and general design of electrical systems including HV grid connection HV switchyards power transformers MV and LV power supplies MV and LV motors VSD s cabling lighting fire and gas detection site security cathodic protection Take charge of invitations to tenders technical analyses and technical negotiations with tenderers and during awarding of contracts for the supply of electrical equipment or services.Participate to the commercial negotiations of bidsConduct technical and commercial follow-up of contractsEnsure that all documents provided by Contractors are complete and consistent with the project requirements the applicable codes and procedures and good practice standardsIdentify design or practices improvements which could benefit the Client s objectives.Review material options for equipment in regards to their compliance with functional and environmental constraintsCheck that the design and erection time schedules together with physical progress curves monthly progress reports are consistent with Project requirementsReview contractual interface points relating to other technical disciplines to overall installation including interfaces with the Grid Review and approve design amendments suggested by Contractors.Take part in factory and commissioning tests and give support to supervision of on-site assembly for electrical equipment or systemsVerify the Contractor s monthly progress reports and invoices.Check that Contractor s activity organisation actions are matching with the project time frame. In case of planning shift you will ensure that Contractors are implementing adequate corrective actions.Arrange coordination meetings and organize reportingGive support to the supervision of contractual acceptance tests and performances tests. Applicants are experienced Engineers in electrical or electro-mechanical have a good knowledge of electrical equipments systems and practices within LNG terminals and Gas installations Have a good understanding of applicable codes and procedures especially for hazardous areas classification NFPA API a good knowledge of electrical equipment for hazardous areas You are ideally bilingual English French and have around 20 years experience in electrical Design Procurement Construction and Commissioning of LNG terminals and High Pressure Gas installations.
