Identification and mapping of leads and prospects for drilling opportunities. This work involves quantification of prospect volumetrics and evaluation of economic viability forming the basis for well proposals. Ideally you will have extensive experience with 2D and 3D seismic interpretation is expected particularly across several basin types and tectonic regimes. The candidate is expected to have an understanding of qualitative and quantitative seismic attribute analysis AVO rock physics DHI analysis depth conversion experience and an ability to liaise closely with more specialist geophysical support where necessary. Basic knowledge of PSTM and PSDM processing products will also be advantageous particularly within the context of salt imaging. Duties The Completions Engineer s responsibilities include Collation and population of data relating to the completions and workover design. Define all uncertainties and assumptions within the Basis of Design. Carry out the necessary engineering studies and calculations to ensure that completion designs achieve the well objective. Undertake Tubing and Completion design for current future North Sea projects including HPHT operations. Support team completions designs for current well stock and new completions. Provide onshore technical support to offshore completions teams including platform and subsea projects. Use industry standard software to undertake completions design including StressCheck and WellCat. Liaise with third parties and service personnel to ensure availability of suitable equipment and services. Experience The successful candidate will Be educated to degree level or equivalent. Have significant demonstrable experience of completions design. Have a strong technical background with the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team. Senior Drilling Engineer The Position The senior drilling engineer will be working in the International Drilling Operations section and reporting to the International Operations Team Leader. This senior drilling engineering position is vital in the company s organisational set-up important for our client s continued growth and carries responsibility for both planning and subsequent follow-up during execution of some very challenging wells around the world some of them in hostile and deep water environment. You will become part of a small team presently consisting of a number of Drilling Engineers with broad technical backgrounds where it is expected that several operations could be ongoing at the same time either at planning stage or at execution stage. The Position The work will entail detailed operations planning well planning and subsequent technical support during the execution of exploration and appraisal wells in areas around the world where our client currently has licenses. Such areas would include West Africa South America Middle East possibly Gulf of Mexico and any other area where the company would be engaged in either onshore or off-shore operations. Detailed well will include insuring accurate pore pressure fracture gradient analyses are performed well design AFE costs tubular and wellhead design including assistance with tendering procurement coordinating and insuring accuracy of directional well plans drilling fluids design shallow hazards and completion of reports etc. Work also includes close liaison with exploration appraisal well teams to insure geological and geophysical goals are realistically planned and attainable. Operations planning will include assistance with all relevant issues such as logistics incl. boat and helicopter services where applicable environmental issues authority approvals etc. Other responsibilities include capturing lessons learned and best practices for sharing with other members of the drilling community and inclusion into future programs. Staying abreast of emerging new technologies and bringing them forth for incorporation into well design and operations is also a key component of this job. Necessary Experience The individual would have an engineering degree or similar educational background. The successful applicant must have extensive experience working as a senior Drilling Engineer. Experience with deepwater and sub salt drilling operations would be very advantageous.
