The position will be based with the onshore plant and the offshore Platform Package team in the specialised Telecom discipline and you will have the direct responsibility for all activities related to the telecom discipline. The Telecom Engineer Consultant will represent the Company technical authority for this discipline. You will be responsible for supervision control and co-ordination of both contractors and internal company works in compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures discipline requirements and Russian and international codes with the objective to ensure respect of the Schedule and optimise Costs without impacting required level of Quality and Safety. The roles start date is to be ASAP and anyone applying must be eligible work within the U.K. The Telecom Engineer Consultant will represent the Company technical authority for this discipline. He will be responsible for supervision control and co-ordination of Contractors and internal Company works in compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures discipline requirements and Russian and international codes with the objective to ensure respect of the Schedule and optimise Costs without impacting required level of Quality and Safety. His main activities are to Develop long-term strategies philosophies and goals for the discipline within the project Design review of telecom-related documents including all interfaces related to this discipline Ensure compliance of the engineering documents with the requirements Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and applicable industry codes standards and recommended practices. Ensure the telecommunication systems are designed to meet the required Russian norms and Standards identify any gaps analyse and confirm solutions to implement Ensure the telecommunication systems are designed to take into account the severe arctic environment. Developing innovative design as necessary Participate in the evaluation and technical recommendation of main contracts Work closely with the Russian market survey team to take knowledge of the Russian industry capabilities in order to take it in consideration during EPSCC and assess potential suppliers involvement in subsequent phases Report to the offshore topsides leader and to the onshore team concerning discipline progress and areas of concern Support Hull LQ and Turret Leaders on telecom engineering if required. The candidate shall have Experience Minimum 10 years in telecom discipline for oil and gas projects Sound judgment and analytical skills to apply appropriate risk assessment methodologies and enact effective risk-based decisions Willingness to establish and back up positions Fluent English needed knowledge in French and Russian Language considered as advantages
