Air Energi require a team of Drilling Engineers to join a leading drilling services contractor in Iraq Dubai. Iraq is on a 28 28 rotation cycle. The Senior Drilling Engineer SDE shall supervise the Rig Operations Drilling Engineers working with rigs in his area. The function shall ensure that the Engineering management and follow up of his allocated rigs is completed programs material plans well schedules site preparations Improvement to well design . The SDE shall be responsible to ensure well engineering in his area has technical integrity is in compliance with company Polices and Standards and will deliver safe efficient cost effective operations and a quality well. Reports directly to the Project Drilling Manager PDM . Responsibilities QHSE Ensure well programs for operations on his allocated rigs are in compliance with company Policies and Standards. Ensure that programs adequately highlight risks and include suitable mitigation. Ensure necessary exemptions are obtained as far in advance as possible to leave adequate time for project review. Ensure timely closure of Operating Failure reports for unscheduled events that occur on wells in his area. Ensure corrective action is completed on time. Ensure Lessons Learnt register is complete and of high quality. Complete tasks as per Master Remedial Work Plan. Ensure that the well program and all risk mitigations will deliver a quality well. On his rig visits he must conduct a behavioral safety audit with rig personnel. Technical Will organize and conduct Drill Well on Paper workshops DWOP on rig site also will be responsible for holding Pre-Spud meeting PSM and After Action Review meeting AAR with all rig crews and service providers involved. He will ensure that Rig Move on Paper meeting RMOP is held with all parties involved with the rig move. Ensure well programs for wells in his area have technical integrity and are prepared in compliance with company Policies and Standards. Ensure Lessons Learnt are included in all programs. The Individual is to lead the facilities capability in Kurdistan Iraq You will be responsible for providing management direction and leadership to ensure that the Facility is operated in a safe reliable and economic manner consistent with site O M Agreement contracts permits and rules regulations and written instructions from the Facility Owner. Job Requirements The candidate is to operate the facility in a safe manner so that a safe work environment is provided and maintained to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries. Control all environmental reporting and testing activities and ensure that required environmental programs are properly implemented and that the facility maintains full compliance with all permits. Implement programs and activities that provide a work environment that promotes effective goal accomplishment productivity and morale. Optimise plant performance through appropriate utilisation of manpower equipment supplies and external support. Supervise and manage the facility staff to meet the goals and objectives of the facility and Company. Provide coaching training and development opportunities for the team to ensure appropriate skill sets are maintained. This includes the implementation and scheduling of training programs that cover operations maintenance safety and regulatory areas. Prepare the annual budget and facility operating plan. Prepare monthly reports detailing significant plant activities and updates on the facility operating plan. This includes the preparation of budget variance reports. Demonstrate effective management skills in meeting or exceeding facility goals and objectives. Responsible for the enforcement and compliance with the Operations and Maintenance Agreement. Prepare and submit to the facility owner in a timely manner all reports and information required under the terms of the O M contract. Provide recommendations to the Owner on plant upgrades and enhancements that would improve the reliability performance safety or environmental readiness of the plant. The recommendations should include a cost benefit analysis. Oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance and outage activities. Provide outage reports to the Owner summarising significant events of the outage. Skills Experience required A thorough demonstrated understanding of power plant operations including a working knowledge of the operations maintenance functions for gas turbines - specifically GE Frame 9E simple cycle equipment. A working knowledge of chemistry as it relates to plant operations as well as environmental and water treatment programs and statutory regulations. Understand budgets bid proposals contract evaluation basic accounting principals plant economics and power pool operations. Demonstrate the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations. Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings electrical one-lines logic drawings and technical manuals. Education Experience A four-year degree or commensurate experience is required. A minimum of ten year s industry experience. A minimum of 4 years experience in a management position.
