A Data Processing Specialist is required on either a Contract or Permanent basis for the operator of an Offshore LNG Terminal in Italy. Currently the terminal is in the construction phase but once operational in mid-2011 it will provide 4 of Italy s entire national requirement. LNG carriers will moor alongside the regasification tanker which will be in situ permanently 22km from the coast. From there gas will be transported onshore through a subsea pipeline and will be transmitted directly into the Italian gas transmission system. The client is looking for someone who understands the operational data produced from the main process control system and the data management interface to their custom-made commercial operations management system. The vacancy is immediate with a required duration of minimum 12 months and up to 18 months. Initially based in the Milan office the person would form part of the client team which shall centralise in Tuscany upon the arrival of the offshore terminal and commencement of commercial operations in the summer of 2011.
