Our client is a major operator. They are currently looking for a Subsea Controls Engineer for a long term position to be based in Norway. Job Description To support the Subsea Control System Leader amp Project Team in the technical execution of the contract to ensure the project deliverables are in accordance with the Statement of Requirements SOR Management Procedures and Project Schedule.The main challenge in this position is to ensure that project activities are carried out according to the Company rules and procedures and that the confidentiality of the information is maintained at the level required. The identification and adoption of best practices in engineering and project execution is an important objective of the role as is the development of strong and positive relationships with Subsea Control System Leader team members and contractor representatives.ActivitiesResponsible for Control System technical aspects of the project from detailed engineering to handover and accepts responsibility for actionsDemonstrate commitment to SHE through Personal Safety Performance ContractAssist with the development of the technical Scope of workAssist with the pre-contract award clarifications and technical evaluations recommendationPro-actively liaise with Technology Vendors Operations Contractor Sub-Contractors Drilling and certifying agency teams on all aspects of the projectActively contribute to the resolution of interfacesPrepare and present Technical dossiersEnsure that procedures and rules are developed and applied in accordance with the latest edition Control and approve when appropriate the specifications requisitions design procedures layouts arrangements and cause amp effect chartsCoordinate mobilisation of subsea control equipment amp tooling for offshore installationAssist with the preparation of the pre-commissioning and commissioning start-up activitiesObtain validation of the designPrepare authorities applications for authorisations and consentsPositively represent the Company at Contractor premises sites and on vessels if appropriate during offshore construction as and when requiredDevelop effective and constructive relationships with contractor representatives in a manner that enables a high level of value to be obtainedReport to the Subsea Project Manager and inform of any potential problems in a pro-active mannerContinually seek learning opportunities to further their technical capability and openly share knowledge with other team membersAccept delegation of authority from the Subsea Control System Leader Location This position will be based in Kongsberg Norway Qualifications Experience requiredRelevant Professional Experience Degree in an appropriate technical disciplineChartered Engineer status or equivalent preferred but not essentialStrong knowledge of Company Group and statutory policies and procedures in relation to ICSS engineering amp technologyStrong knowledge of oil and gas facilities design construction amp operation with experience gained in the North SeaSpecific aspects of knowledge ..PCS ESD F amp G and PSSSubsea Control SystemOFMS PMS PDS MMS IMS Techniques for managing multiple third party interfaces to a projectTopsides Control Software Hardware for SCU or ICSS application
