Heavy and Light Vehicle Coordinator required for work in Chad Responsibilities and Duties 8226 Manage the clients Vehicle workshops and associated facilities including spare parts warehouse 8226 Supervise and Co-ordinate scheduled repairs and servicing for a fleet of Heavy and Light vehicles and Caterpillar earthworks equipment 8226 Ensure a safe working environment is operational in all vehicle repair shops and associated facilities 8226 Act as focal point and interface between the client and Maintenance department 8226 Technical authority for all heavy and light vehicles earthworks equipment and mobile plant 8226 Ensures compliance with clients safety and environmental standards respective technical standards quality procedures policies work plans and schedules. 8226 Ensure that all spare parts are correctly requisitioned to meet vehicle service intervals and submitted to the client for procurement 8226 Provide training supervision mentoring and guidance to Third Country Nationals and Chad National staff 8226 Provide the client and focal points with accurate monthly reports and statistics for all vehicle mobile plant and equipment repairs Skills Qualifications Experience Qualifications 8226 Strong knowledge of the motor vehicle industry 8226 Minimum of five years experience supervising maintenance and repairs of heavy and light vehicles and Caterpillar earthworks equipment Personal Qualities 8226 Extensive knowledge of respective industry standards and current best practice 8226 Fluent spoken and written English with strong report writing skills 8226 Excellent management leadership interpersonal and communication skills 8226 Computer literate on Windows-based applications 8226 Methodical thorough proactive and reliable worker 8226 Self motivated and essential Teamwork skills 8226 No cultural barriers 8226 Committed to further development on craft plant systems procedures and Competency Assurance Requirements Work Requirements 8226 Willing to work on a site 12hrs a day 7 days a week and possibly alternate shift patterns 8226 Current medical certification 8226 Possible work assignment on remote sites 8226 Must be willing to work in challenging climatic conditions 8226 Must work at all times in the best interest of Company 8226 Must comply with the requirements of Health Safety Environmental and Socio-economic policies 8226 Current driving license from country of origin acceptable to Chad authorities If you feel that you want to apply for this role please send your CV in confidence to the attention of Lynn Whitehead preferably by email lynn.whitehead@dats.co.uk or if you want to discuss please call on 01925 403800. Precious overseas experience desirable. Preferably possess degree in relevant subject or equivalent.
