Our major Oil Gas Client is in need of a Process Safety and Risk Engineer in Trinidad and Tobago. Roles and Responsibilities Provide engineering support to ensure that process safety systems of facilities are designed in compliance with applicable STPs ETPs industry codes regulations and specifications. Act as the focal point and the responsible Engineer for the Process Safety deliverables generated by the Engineering Contractor. Act as a focal point for the collation and maintenance of key process safety and risk documentation including as appropriate o Fire and blast studies o HAZOP PHA QRA studies and actions log Facilitate minor HAZOP and HAZID studies and provide coordination and assurance for major PHA studies Organize MAR studies and updates in accordance with GP 48-50. Provide technical support to engineering and operations regarding implementation of recommended actions from PHAs and MAR studies. Experience Knowledge Essential An Engineering Degree is required preferably in Process Engineering or related discipline. Professional accreditation or chartership with relevant institution. The candidate will have a minimum of 12 years experience in the Process Safety Engineering discipline in major projects or engineering environment with at least 5 years in a senior engineer role. Experience in the upstream hydrocarbon industry Understanding and experience in delivering fire and blast analysis qualitative risk assessments and major accident studies. Preferred Experience in assurance and review of work products from a top tier engineering contractor and in managing the interfaces between engineering and a fabrication yard. Experience in the upstream construction activities. Process Safety experience implementing client ETP s including Process safety studies MAR HAZOP ISD etc and risk assessments.
