Qualifications required Science or Engineering degree Chartered Engineer of Chartered Scientist Post-graduate Diploma in either Process Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety Management or Environmental Management is desirable Skills amp Experience Required Broad knowledge and experience of process safety theory and in the process chemical industry. Proven experience of the effective practical interpretation and communication of SHE legislation requirements and the establishment of effective systems of work. Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with external stakeholders Detailed understanding of relevant current and impending Process Safety and Environmental standards Influencing skills are critical to this role as changes to existing practice will be required in order to secure compliance with developed standards and to drive continuous improvement. Ability to practically interpret and effectively clearly and concisely communicate process safety requirements in order to establish effective systems and procedures.
