My Client is a major Operator with both a domestic and international focus. They have a current requirement for a Senior Development Geophysicist ideally with some waterflood experience. The responsibilities of this role will include Identify assess and assure quality all available data and recommend further processing and acquisition as appropriate Interpret and integrate geophysical data to aid play mapping for sources rock distribution and reservoir characterization distribution to define play uncertainty risk and volume Define verify subsurface well targets with justification and objectives Quantify uncertainties in the volumetric calculation of reserves resources as well estimation of risk Develop play and prospect with geologist Communicate and sell ideas to management Contribute to knowledge management and best practices and mentor junior staff Qualifications Relevant degree in Geosciences with good technical knowledge of geophysical principles and quantitative seismic interpretation techniques A significant level of experience in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation depth conversion mapping and prospect generation Strong interpersonal with effective oral and written communication Results oriented with ability to prioritize and deliver results Ability to develop and mentor local junior staff
