This position would have about 8 direct reports and would report directly to the Director of Exploration NB Brazil who reports directly to the President. The Brazil Team Leader will manage a multi-disciplinary team working with existing exploration and new business projects focusing on Brazil. 1. Key responsibilities Aspects such as processes planning executing monitoring reporting communicating negotiating influencing building relationships developing talent managing resources information communications time forecasting analyzing data The Team Leader shall participate with a leading role in building Client s existing and new portfolio focusing on Brazil. Responsibilities 183 Participate in existing and new projects focusing on Brazil with support from the local technical staff and with assistance from the Client Head Office 183 Lead the Brazilian exploration effort aimed at contributing to the over all strategic goals 183 Contribute to the business development elements of the Brazilian business plan 183 Proactively identify and implement improvements to key Business Development processes 183 Establish network of contacts across the Brazilian oil and gas community and beyond Facilitate identification and execution of new business opportunities Lead the technical evaluation work performed in the Houston office Contribute to Investment Proposals for licence bids exploration drilling and new ventures activities Liase with and support the operational office in Rio de Janeiro Supervise and mentor appraise staff in the Brazil team 2. Position specifications The minimum education experience knowledge skills amp abilities required to perform the position Required Education 183 A strong educational background in areas of geophysics sedimentology stratigraphy structural geology basin modeling or geochemistry 183 Technical Degree on MSc. level or higher is required Required Experience 183 10 in the industry Brazil experience not required but is preferable. 183 Extensive experience with technical leadership including mentoring appraisal of technical staff 183 Extensive experience with seismic interpretation will be a requirement including sub-salt experience 183 High levels of creativity persistence curiosity and enthusiasm 183 Good verbal and written English skills
